Identification

This web map is developed to identify traffic and pedestrian density patterns in the South Bronx and to support design strategies for safer, more accessible streets.

Use

The map is intended for planning and design exploration only. It helps visualize where movement demand is concentrated and highlights areas that may require improvement (e.g., safety, comfort, connectivity). Results should be interpreted as indicators not as precise measurements of real-time conditions.

Source

This work is based on collective research and publicly available datasets, primarily from NYC Open Data and related open data sources. Data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness may vary by dataset and update cycle.

Notes

Street conditions may change over time due to construction, seasonal patterns, or policy updates. Users should supplement this map with field observation and community input when making decisions.
